How would you describe yourself in three words?
Friendly, easygoing, ambitious.
It’s a typical Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., what are you doing?
Most Saturday afternoons are a little different. My girlfriend Emily and I enjoy spending time together and relaxing, so we are either at the gym, grocery shopping, or running other errands. We also enjoy visiting breweries in the area and trying new restaurants. During the summer, there is a good chance we are at the beach.
Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
Unfortunately, I haven’t done much traveling outside of the U.S. It’s something on my to-do list. However, I have been all over the U.S and Canada for hockey-related purposes.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Integrity. Being honest and having strong morals.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
To play in the NHL. I grew up playing hockey so that would be pretty cool.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
A new yoga mat to my girlfriend.
If you could give advice to your 13-year old self, what would it be?
Enjoy the present, don’t take anything or anyone for granted, work hard, and never stop learning.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I love to cook and enjoy being in the kitchen. It’s something my parents have instilled in me and my brothers.
What are 3 things left on your bucket list?
Travel to Italy and Greece, go to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and visit Harry Potter World.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of my girlfriend, Emily. She is an autism self-contained teacher and she works extremely hard on a daily basis, is empathetic, and supportive.
