Employee Spotlight: Danica Burns

With a background in journalism, it seems only fitting that Danica has become Results Repeat’s go-to content person. Starting as a digital project manager overseeing web development projects, she evolved with our content department as it grew. With her two-year anniversary just days away, she’s become an integral part of the Results Repeat team.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Efficient, dedicated, passionate

It’s a typical Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., what are you doing?

Who knows?! My husband and I are always trying to find something exciting to get into but since we’ve just purchased a house, I assume the foreseeable Saturdays will be spent dedicated to that.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to travel to so many wonderful places that it’s hard to choose. However, my mind always comes back to Ireland because it just felt like home. I absolutely loved spending time in Cork and Cobh and can’t wait to return.

What characteristic do you most admire in others?

Authenticity and self-awareness. I admire people who are unapologetically themselves.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

Well, 12-year-old me would say a storm chaser or rock star, and I think now-me would agree.

What was the last gift you gave someone?

Mother’s Day gifts to my awesome mom and wonderful mother-in-law.

If you could give advice to your 13-year-old self, what would you say?

It will all work out. Don’t be so worried about pleasing other people. Take more chances.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

Anyone who’s known me for any amount of time is probably not surprised about much. So, this one is tough. It’s not particularly about me, but my parents live in Stephen King’s daughter’s former home?

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

  1. Travel to New Zealand.
  2. Buy and restore a Victorian home.
  3. Visit all 50 states, hitting as many national parks as possible along the way!

What are you most proud of?

I’m really proud of my mom. My mom has been an inspiration to so many and has helped change lots of lives. Her strength, self-sacrifice, and grace are so inspiring. She’s my hero. I’m also incredibly proud of my husband. He’s accomplished so much and is so dedicated to creating a wonderful life for us. I’m so lucky!
